What's in Maria's Beach Bag?

Now that it’s summer, the sun’s out and it’s time to get outside and lounge by the pool, relax by the beach, float on the river, bbq at the lake - everything! That being said, no matter where you are spending your time outside there are must-have items that accompany you, right? I want to share with you what’s in my beach bag in hopes that you’ll discover new products or be reminded and inspired to pack up your essentials too!

What’s in my beach bag?

A Good Pair of Sunglasses

A good pair of sunnies is a must for any summer bag! I love these transparent ones because I always get compliments on them when I wear them out. Also, you can never go wrong with ray bans and round is such a cool shape right now!

Organic Sunscreen

Sunscreen is so important friends. That is unless you have built your "solar callous" (I’m in process of mine right now, so standby for results and more info. I’m experimenting for us all!), meanwhile this Coola sunscreen is my go-to. It’s made with 70%+ certified organic ingredients, helps mitigate the effects of blue light, pollutants, and other skin stressors while of course providing UVA/UVB protection. I love it because it layers well under makeup, is Dermatologist tested, and Cruelty Free. It’s a staple not only in my pool bag, but something I include in my daily routine and with me anywhere I go.

A Good Book

When going to lay out and soak up some Vitamin D, a good read is necessary. Letting yourself relax is important, so keeping your mind occupied with a good book is the best. In my opinion, there is nothing better than a  good self-help book to help you learn, grow, and relax all at the same time.

One of my current favorites is The Power of One by Ed Mylett. This book talks about his experience as an entrepreneur and how to live an extraordinary life. It’s perfect for the pool/beach!

Another one I am loving right now is Decoding Your Emotional Blueprint: A Powerful Guide to Transformation through Disentangling Multigenerational Patterns. Author and Family Patterns Expert, Judy-Wilkins Smith recently came on my show Better Together with Maria Menounos and really moved me. We talked about the familial systems that no longer serve us and she shared how we can dismantle those “emotional blueprints” ourselves. And guess what? It’s really not as hard as we think. She has helped me a lot with untangling my limiting beliefs and patterns. Her book unpacks all of this and is currently one of my favorite new reads.

You can listen to our episode with Judy here!

Lip Balm (with SPF)

One of my favorite products to keep my lips hydrated and protected all summer long is the Soleil Toujours lip mask. It keeps my lips soft and moisturized, but it also has SPF 15!! I bring it with me everywhere because it’s just that perfect and I know you will love it.

Reusable Water Bottle

If you’re outside for a while the sun can really drain you, so it’s key to drink lots of water and keep your body hydrated. If you know me, you know my go-to reusable water bottle is a Hydroflask! It's the perfect water bottle because it’s easy to carry around and will keep your water cold all day long.
