Alter Your Schedule to Cure Anxiety, Lose Weight and Reverse Aging

In this world of zoom and COVID-19, working from home has become the new norm and with this change, comes an increased work-life imbalance. Lines have blurred - we now sleep in the same room we have meetings and work on decks from our couch. Traditional beginnings and endings of the work day seems to have disappeared and, as a result, more and more people are finding themselves burnt out.

That is why now more than ever, creating a healthy, balanced schedule is KEY. Doing so will help you maintain your mental health and wellbeing during these unprecedented times. As we dive into these tips to adjust your schedule to cure anxiety, lose weight and reverse aging, it is important to note that if you are struggling with mental health to seek a mental health professional near you.

Create work boundaries -

To reiterate, workplace boundaries have become a thing of the past. Often, we start and end the day looking at our screens and suffer what he calls email apnea. We hold our breath while reading emails and because we get them so often, it adds up and starts to affect our brain function.

We are all in control of our health -

It is important to understand that we are in total control of our own health. We must realign our priorities and begin by eating right, resting, and exercising.

Drink hot water -

Drinking hot water acts as a cleanser that drains the impurities from your body. He says, when you dilate, you don’t die early. Sipping hot water throughout the day will improve blood circulation and everything else in the body.

Sleep is a miracle drug -

Sleep can reduce inflammation, recharge the immune system, and much more. Delaying sleep will disrupt the entire cycle of the body.

Pay attention to your circadian rhythms -

A circadian rhythm, or circadian cycle, is a natural, internal process that regulates the sleep–wake cycle and repeats roughly every 24 hours. It can refer to any process that originates within an organism and responds to the environment.  How does that apply and why is it important to be aware of? For the first time in history, our kids will have a shorter life span than us. Early exposure to social media and our increased pace of life are to blame as it interrupts our circadian rhythms which in turn, causes many diseases.

Beware of social jetlag -

“Social jetlag” describes our weekend behavior of sleeping late and eating late, creating a jetlag-like problem. Just like changing time zones creates a sort of fog, so do our weekend activities.

Do something you love -

Want to know the key to youthful aging? Doing something you love. Purpose and passion slow down aging. If you are unhappy in what you are doing, you will age much faster. And if you do not like your job, take 2 hours before starting and ending your day doing something you enjoy. It will make all the difference.

Meditating will improve your quality of life -

A great starting point to bettering your life is meditation. It allows you to connect with your inner self and is the most potent self-reflection activity.

Practice SODA  -

In any experience, use SODA - stop, observe, detach, act. The more you practice it, the more easily it can be applied.
