Happy Holidays! As I mentioned in my previous newsletter, I LOVE Christmas so much and am so excited that I can finally relax and enjoy the holiday season. As you may already know, Keven and I got an early Christmas present this year with the newest addition to our family–Maximus who is a German Shepherd we rescued a few weeks ago. He has brought us so much joy that I can’t even remember what life was like without him. He instantly became part of the family the second he stepped foot in our home and has slept with us every night since we got him. Even the babies Benjamin, Winnie and Baby LOVE him, and he too has fallen in love with them. I cannot thank the people at the Westside German Shepherd Rescue enough for bringing him into our lives. They are an incredible group of people who dedicate their lives to saving all types of German Shepherds from high kill shelters and finding them homes. If you are looking to rescue a dog I urge you to visit them. He has an Instagram account @Maximus_Menounos if you would like to follow him and stay up to date on his daily life too. =)
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year, Keven and I spent Thanksgiving with my family in Connecticut and loved every second of it. My cousin Nikitoula and her husband Bruce hosted and there was lots of delicious food and fun games. I did something different this year which I can honestly say I haven’t done in a very long time which was that I put my phone away for the entire day. If you follow me on social media, you know that I’ve spent the past few Thanksgivings engaging in something I created called ‘Dance Wars’ with my family and friends, and what quickly drew the attention of thousands of people on social media thanks to the participation of my friends Derek and Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas, Kate Hudson, Karina Smirnoff, Jon Taffer and Sadie Robertson. Although I had SO much fun doing Dance Wars, it was nice to take a 360 turn this year and be fully present with my family. I challenge you to take some time this holiday season to be fully present with your loved ones without the distraction of your phones/iPads/laptops/whatever it is that you use on the daily.
Aside from spending time in Connecticut, I surprised my parents with tickets to the Celtics Game which was AWESOME. As most of you probably know, I am a DIE HARD Boston sports fan so being in my hometown to support them is always an amazing experience!
As mentioned in my previous newsletter, I understand how stressful the holiday season can be on everyone, so I urge you all to take a few minutes to yourself each day to reflect on your blessings and what you are most grateful for. And speaking of being grateful, I want you all to know how grateful I am to all of you. Your emails and messages continue to bring so much light into my life. With my new bite sized content I will be connecting more often with you all through this newsletter and hope it brings you the same positive energy and motivation you all have given me.
Thank you for your continual support and prayers.
